With urbanisation and congestion stretching traditional transport infrastructure to its limits, many are looking towards Urban Air Mobility (UAM) as a much-needed alternative to help overcome urban challenges and transform the paradigm of mobility, and eventually, improving connectivity amongst city dwellers.
In reality, however, how close are we to launching UAM? Are the infrastructure and regulations keeping pace with the eVTOL developments? With SpaceX launched successfully, UAM will be the next transformation to the skies, anticipated to be launched in 2025, but are we really ready?
