Highlighting topics in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Civil Helicopters, the sessions in Day 1 will provide an introduction to AAM and examine the ways in which eVTOLs can be complementary to helicopters or indeed replace them.

AAM is the topic that has come to the forefront of everybody's minds over the past few years. But what does advanced air mobility really mean, and how much of an impact will it have in our lives? Join this panel to find out from the industry’s experts.

By the end of August 2022 it is estimated that more than USD$8 billion had been invested into the AAM industry. But with certification and regulatory challenges ahead, when will those investments likely to be making returns?

As a new industry, AAM will have to overcome many hurdles before it can become a commercial reality. From type certifications to regulatory frameworks, and from public acceptance to building the necessary infrastructure, this panel will discuss everything that needs to be in place for AAM to be a success.

With an increased frequency of natural disasters, including floods, and the recent pandemic, helicopters are changing their roles to help support relief missions. This panel will look at all of the different missions that helicopters can be adapted to, including SAR, HEMS and firefighting. Is the Asia-Pacific fleet ready?

What factors will enable helicopters to maintain their relevance and what factors will lead to eVTOLs replacing helicopters? Listen to experts share their views on the future of helicopters.

Whilst many people fully support the AAM sector, there are many others who believe it is destined to fail. Which side do you take? Hear both sides of the argument and decide for yourself.
